Andrew is a qualified high school teacher and has 25 years of off-road cycling skills experience. During this time he has ridden extensively across four continents. Andrew is a Level 1 Mountain Bike Coach and holds a Club Commissaire Certificate, Community Coaching Qualification, First Aid Certifications and a Working With Children Certificate.
Andrew has coached MTB skills at Northholm Grammar School since 2014 and assisted in the coaching of the Pymble Ladies College team in 2015.
Andrew’s first race was the 1991 Mount Cook Classic in New Zealand and since then he has raced innumerable cross country and endurance events across the world. Following recent successes in the Rocky Trail Entertainment GP series (1st placed Singlespeed male 2013), Jet Black 12hr (3rd Singlespeed male 2013) and WEMBO 24hr World Champs 2013 (8th place Singlespeed male), his riding has evolved to take a less competitive and more skills orientated focus.
Andrew’s background in teaching means he has the skills to quickly identify areas of strength for a rider and where improvements can be made to have them riding more quickly and with more confidence in no time at all.
"Thanks. I think this has significantly improved my mountain bike skill level and psychology to attempt more demanding exercises."
