Lisa is a qualified PE teacher with 20 years teaching experience in schools and University. She is a provider and trainer for AustCycle and has 10 years of cycling skills experience. Lisa has a Level 1 AustCycle Teacher Certificate, a Level 2 Mountain Bike Coach Certificate, a Cycle Skills Coach Certificate, a Senior First Aid Certificate, an Active After Schools Care Certificate, and a Working With Children Certificate and has full insurance cover to teach a full range of bike skills.
Lisa has also recently qualified to present the Mountain Bike Australia Level 1 Coaching Course and has presented this in Qld and Victoria.
Since starting the business Lisa has coached MTB skills at Pymble Ladies’ College (they placed first at the Jetblack NSW Schools Cross Country MTB Championships in 2013 and 2014), taught bike skills and bike safety at numerous public schools, completed skills clinics for Warringah Council and Pittwater Council as part of Bike Week, run MTB bike skills clinics and bike maintenance courses, taught recreational bike skills and bicycle confidence courses for AustCycle, taught bike skills at Active After School Care at Narrabeen North Public School and conducted school holiday bike skills programs for Warringah Council.
Lisa has also conducted Safe Commuter Cycling Courses for APRA and the Macquarie Bank Group. These latter courses were mostly theoretical in nature and were very well received.
